Book News CALLED TO THE DEEP is now on GOODREADS!!! Linked here. A fellow author on Twitter pointed this out to me earlier today. I had no idea! What a wonderful Monday surprise. I’ve submitted my GR author profile claim application and hope to get confirmation soon.

Wow. My hands are shaking, I’m so excited. I also found out today that it was a Goodreads Librarian & Romance Book Reviewer who listed CALLED TO THE DEEP on Goodreads. For any who don’t know (I sure didn’t before all this), Goodreads Librarians are the people who approve new book listings on the GR platform—usually publishers submit their authors books, but in this case, it was added without any sort of prompting!

How did this happen?

A couple weeks ago, the GR Librarian/Romance Reviewer tweeted about how she was looking for recommendations for fantasy romance ft. elves. I offered a recommendation (A Deal With the Elf King by Elise Kova) and then name dropped my work-in-progress book WILLOW AND THE WELLSPRING, which prompted her to look at my Twitter profile. She replied back with a nice comment about CALLED TO THE DEEP, so I sent her a book page link….and wow. She added the listing! I only found out it was on there today, because a fellow author on Twitter said she added my book to her GR’s “Want to Read” list. I’m glad I checked before I replied, because my first thought was ???????

When I thanked the Librarian/Reviewer today, she said she added it because “[she] definitely didn’t want to forget about this one.” *swooning*

This is just so, so cool. The really awesome thing I’m finding about this book publishing journey is that every milestone is like celebrating your favorite holiday. Thank you so much for your support in helping me reach each one.
